Mila was born on March 9, 2010 at 3:30 Mercy Hospital in Hillcrest.
On March 8, I was complaining about this pounding throbbing headache that has been consistent for 3 days. Finally I told Mando that I can't take this anymore and even though I took medicine it wasn't going away, Mando called my doctor at 7pm. She told us that we need to go to the hospital to see what is going on. When we got there, my blood pressure was sky high! The staff was amazed that I was only complaining about a headache. I was also very swollen and was retaining so much water that cankles wasn't even description.
Well finally, they admitted at 11:30, they put magnesium in my I.V. but no sooner that they did that, I blacked out and had a seizure. My doctor came in and told me that we need to do an emergency C-Section since the plasenta wasn't being great with my body.
Our doctor told us that she will be born bald and won't cry. Well this little girl had lungs on her and was so hairy that we started crying. Than I threw up and had a panic attack. But in the long run I was ok. My mother and family drove to me. Mando's family was there with no make-up, which if you get to know my family you will see that they never leave the house without make-up unless it's an emergency! So I knew it was serious! Mando and I were super thankful and grateful for this little girl who taught me to love so much!
